BONDERITE M-NT 811 is a chromium-free, No-Rinse
conversion treatment for aluminium and its alloys in strip
lines.
The process is designed for use with a chemcoater in
reverse operation.
Application Areas:
BONDERITE M-NT 811 is particularly suited for the
pretreatment of can-end stock and food packaging.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Preliminary Statement:
Prior to use it is necessary to read the Material Safety Data
Sheet for information about precautionary measures and
safety recommendations. Also, for chemical products
exempt from compulsory labeling, the relevant precautions
should always be observed. Please also refer to the local
safety instructions and contact Henkel for analytical support.
Bath make-up, for 100 L:
● 100 L BONDERITE M-NT 811 are added to 100 L of
deionized water in the make-up tank whilst using
continuous agitation.
● Further deionized water is added to give a total volume
of 500 L again, whilst using continuous agitation.
● This corresponds to a make-up concentration of 20 %
(v./v.).
With a wet film of 4 mL/m2, the following dry film coating
weights expressed as zirconium are obtained:

The zirconium coating weight can be measured by X-Ray
Fluorescence.
It is recommended to operate in a range of 8 to 12 mg/m2.
The application temperature is in the range of 15 to 25 °C.
Application:
Procedure under standard conditions normally consists of
the following steps:
1. Cleaning
2. Rinsing
3. DI-water rinsing
4. Drying
5. Conversion treatment with BONDERITE M-NT 811
6. Drying with hot air (PMT 70 to 100 °C)
Replenishing:
Replenishing is not necessary under normal operation.
Equipment:
Tanks and piping for the BONDERITE M-NT 811 solution
shall be constructed with HD-PP or hard PVC.
Waste Water Treatment:
BONDERITE M-NT 811 treatment solution and related waste
water from equipment maintenance must not be discarded
into public sewers without prior neutralization.
Caution:
BONDERITE M-NT 811 contains complex fluoride
compounds.
